Tasting Notes and Characteristics:

The first sip of Ironstone Cabernet Sauvignon wraps you in a plush embrace of ripe black cherry and dark plum, laced with subtle notes of toasted oak and a hint of vanilla. Crafted in the United States, this Cabernet Sauvignon delivers a bold yet balanced profile, its 13.50% ABV supporting layers of cassis and gentle spice that linger on the palate. The wine’s firm tannins and full body make it an ideal companion for a juicy steak or sharp aged cheddar, elevating each bite with its rich fruit character and smooth finish. If you’re seeking a red that brings both depth and approachability to your table, Ironstone Cabernet Sauvignon is ready to impress.

Producer Information: Ironstone Vineyards

Ironstone Vineyards, rooted in the heart of California’s Sierra Foothills, was established by the Kautz family in 1990 as an extension of their deep agricultural heritage dating back to the 1940s. The winery is distinguished by its commitment to sustainable farming and a hands-on approach that highlights the unique terroir of Lodi and Calaveras County, where their estate vineyards thrive in mineral-rich soils and a Mediterranean climate. Ironstone’s portfolio extends beyond their signature Obsession Symphony white wine to include robust Zinfandels, expressive Cabernet Sauvignons, and crisp Chardonnays that reflect both regional character and varietal purity. Their production style emphasizes minimal intervention, allowing each grape variety—whether grown on rolling foothill slopes or sun-drenched valley floors—to express its full potential. In addition to still wines, Ironstone crafts sparkling selections and seasonal blends that showcase the diversity of California’s viticultural landscape.
